We are proved to be part of the famous TerraClean network, using their products to clean the DPF on the car. But this is only 40% of the job. First of all a blocked DPF is the symptom of a fault or issue elsewhere, it is not often a driving style, although this is entirely possible. So we need to diagnose and rectify that fault before we can clean and send you happily on your way. We don’t use silly sales headers like “4 Stage DPF Clean” we simply come and fix the issue and clean the DPF.
The most common cause of DPF issues is Glow Plug fault, EGR Fault, DPF Pressure sensor fault. We always try to prove a fault component before changing and charging. We do this in numerous ways, Live Data feed back, Manually check the component, Out with the Oscilloscope to check the wiring, and the sensor is sending and receiving the correct signals. Then we can replace the components.
After we have all the done all that, we can then carry out the cleaning process. Which involves feeding the TerraClean fluid into the DPF via the top pressure pipe. Then we let it soak for 20-30mins, start the vehicle let the steam/smoke dissipate, then repeat 2-3 more times. Then we recheck the back pressure to make sure its back down the manufactures specification, if not we do it again until it is. We then re attach the pressure pipes, reset all the cars adaptions and take it for a road test to make sure it carries out a dynamic regeneration under normal driving conditions. After this has been successfully completed, the job is complete with a happy customer and healthier car.
This also keeps the car legal for its MOT test, reduces the cars on going carbon emissions, increase in MPG and performance.
